Jim T. Taylor
'Putting people to work—effectively, is the business objective' and result of Jim Taylor’s involvement in companies. 'Then being recognized by industry and regional media as well as employees and shareholders for the return on investment for my work is what makes what I do, a worthwhile endeavor,' he says.
Taylor leads businesses in need as an employee, consultant or receiver. Experienced in both operational and financial activities with full P&L responsibilities, Taylor’s work has resulted in outstanding ROI and results for investors, lenders and shareholders. Taylor looks to Greater > Yield for the needed skillsets to produce the results he requires: from production to HR, accounting to marketing to research and development.
In 2001, Taylor was recruited to be CFO of Thomas Group, a publicly- held, international consulting company listed on NASDAQ. In less than 3 years, Jim was promoted to CEO and in 4 1/2 years as the CEO/President re-energized the firm after the worst downturn in the professional services industry. As a result of his leadership, the company’s revenue doubled in two years, all debt was paid off with a bottom line equal to 17% of the top line, and the company paid dividends to its shareholders for the first time.
Having led many companies through turnarounds and high growth phases, his performance-focused commitment has resulted in receipt of the International 'Stevie Award' for Best Turnaround Executive and the Jenkins & Gilchrist 'CEO of the Year Award' in 2006; has created companies, recognized as the fastest growing (1996) or resulted in the fastest return to shareholders of public companies in Dallas with a 510% return.
Taylor served 3 years in the U.S. Army, stationed in the U.S. and European theatre. Taylor completed his graduate work at California State Polytechnic University in Engineering and Accounting and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. He served 3 years on the Dallas Rotary Club Foundation Board and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Dallas. |
